随着城市以及农村地区的迅速发展和规模不断扩大，环境问题日益突出。然而，城市的配套环保设备却没有紧跟着时代的步伐——街道、乡村，垃圾触目可见。环保问题将是跨入21世纪的中国要面对的一个重大问题。
我市垃圾分类处理进程缓慢，垃圾处理还是采用集中填埋的办法。没有进行垃圾分类回收。虽然设置了分类垃圾桶，但没有设置垃圾收集后的处理分拣机构，制约了垃圾“分类”工作的进行。至今多数市民垃圾分类意识欠缺，没有垃圾分类放置的习惯。我们面对的这种种问题使我们不得不认真思考：在城市发展的同时，我们产生的大量垃圾该何去何从？垃圾分类该何去何从？造成现状的原因什么？
英文摘要--
With the city developing quickly, the problems of environment have already been serious.Environmental problems directly affect the quality of people's lives. Actually, the corollary equipment of the city didn't keep pace with the times. You can see trash thrown everywhere. Environmental problems will be one of the biggest challenges that China must face.
Although we can see many trash bins on the main streets, but we didn't do well in sorting the garbage out. We need to know that in many cities in Europe rubbish is collected separately.Locals are encouraged to separate their organic from their inorganic waste for recycling. As for us, we should do so to utilization of crude resources. That's the reason why we do research on it.

研究意义--
我们希望通过本次的课题研究调查，全面具体地了解目前垃圾桶的情况，以便更好地提高人们关于垃圾分类与垃圾回收意识，并起到一定宣传的作用。通过这个机会，我们可以了解一下发达国家的垃圾分类垃圾处理回收方面比较先进的经验。如果可以的话，也能向有关部门建议或反应。同时，我们也希望在本次活动中可以锻炼自己进行社会交往和研究调查的能力，提高自我。
