（1） 农民工在城市打工大多居住在简陋的宿舍里。据调查，有29.19%的农民居住在集体宿舍里，有20.14%的人居住在缺乏厨卫设施的房间里，7.88%的人居住在工作地点，6.45%的人居住在临时搭建的工棚里，还有12.54%的民工在城里没有住所，只能往返于城郊之间，或回农家居住。
（2） 农民工生病时一般能撑则撑，撑不过去才到药店买药吃。有4.66%的农民工感觉自己身体状况不太好，有31.02%的农民工感觉自己身体状况一般，有64.32%感觉自己身体状况良好。网上调查结果表明，农民工在务工经商期间生病时，有37.79%的农民工会自己根据病情到药店买点药吃。，32.01%的农民工是去正规医院看病，20.45%的农民工失去个体诊所看病。再对2/3不上正规医院看病的农民工调查时了解到，不上正规医院看病的主要原因：一是费用太高，二是没有去医院看病的习惯，三是没钱看病 等。
（3） 针对发生工伤的情况所在的单位是否提供医疗费用问题，有26.54%的农民工不太清楚，有25.92%农民工认为单位会提供全部费用，20.23%的农民工认为单位会提供大部分费用，13.33%的农民工认为单位会提供小部分费用，但有13.98%的农民工认为单位不会提供费用。
